A custom oil catch can was fabricated, I also fabricated custom top radiator mounts, one of which doubles up as the bracket for mounting the oil catch can. This has two inlets - one fed byr each of the two rocker covers and the top mini-filter in the photo will be replaced with another hose fitting that plumbs the vented oil fumes back into the inlet system. This is done for road-worthy purposes.
Some structural changes were made to enhance the overall handling of the front of the car. As previously mentioned, the top of the strut towers were stitch welded to reduce flexing and stretching of the sheet metal.
An engine damper is added on the drivers side of the engine bay, tensioned against the strut tower, this protects the engine mounts from the excessive rocking motion caused by the engine reving. When installed and tensioned up properly, all rocking movement of the engine is eliminated which in turn stablising the entire driveline. It is so effective it even eliminates a lot of the axle tramping caused by hard launches.
